Platform
Improved login and sign-up screens
This update is relevant for all users
The new login screens are more user friendly, intuitive, inclusive and accessible.
Accessibility
Various guidelines in the following areas have been taken into account in the development of the new login screens:
- cognitive disabilities: using plain language to make the screens understandable
- colour blindness
- low vision: log in using zoom functionality
- blindness: use of a screen reader and a Braille display is possible
- motor disabilities: log in using only the keyboard or other support techniques
Improved user experience
In addition, the following changes have been made to make logging in easier and to help the user to log in successfully:
Choose user type Is an authentication method (web authentication, SAML, delegated login) enabled only for the client / relative, but not for the professional or vice versa? The users land on a screen where they can choose the correct user type.
Link to support pages The login and reset password screens are provided with a help link which will bring the user to a Minddistrict support page. On this support page the user can find tips to help them to successfully login.
Authentication code Is two-factor authentication (2FA) activated? Then the user will be directed to a new screen to enter the code. Using a new screen instead of a dialogue screen makes this option more accessible to users with screen readers.
Creating a password When a user creates a (new) password, there is help by means of a checklist. This checklist contains the requirements that a password must have. The user sees immediately whether the password meets the requirements.
Sign up If both the regular and anonymous sign-up is enabled, the client will see a visual and clear option to help them with their choice. |
